Hi there, where can I find a good tutorial explaining how I could
achieve to make some smoke (from a chimney far away) and some fog (or
better yet, some pollution smog fog)?
Thanks in advance!

Don't know about smoke, but there are a nice page about fog
at: http://astronomy.swin.edu.au/~pbourke/povray/fog/
This is by Paul Bourke, and all his pages are worth
checking out (http://astronomy.swin.edu.au/~pbourke/).
Lots of nice stuff about graphics and math.
Have fun,
Frans.

Hmmm, isn't the fog discontinued or obsolete in POV 3.5?
If not, this is exactly what I was looking for!
Thanks,

Silly me! I printed the reference part and left the tutorial on the
computer but finally I forgot about the tutorial part!
Thanks!

No.
You might be thinking of the fact that media is more accurate and a far
better simulation of fog than the fog feature. It is also much slower,
so when the advantages of media are less obvious, fog is still useful.

Ok, I remember I think it was the halo that became obsolete...?
Anyway, Thanks a lot!

This is correct. Halo was an experimental feature, as are some of the
newer features in POV-Ray.
