i don't know much about pov-ray internals, but i found it interesting 
how focal blur works in some simplified sentences ;)

    In case that's not clear, 'Stuff happens' refers to several mirrors and
some smoke... ;)

Heh - actually, the manual gives a rough idea of how focal blur works. See
section 6.4.3

Thank heavens. I was afraid in involved vector math or something.
Now that I see it's just perfectly ordinary *stuff*, I will be
far less intimidated by focal blur. <g>
