Simberon is proud to announce the release of ElastoLab 2.0. ElastoLab
is a physics playground that allows you to build scenes containing
particles, springs, elastics, barriers, and more. It then allows you to
animate the scene in real-time.
A free demo version is available for download from:
http://www.simberon.com
The commercial version costs $19.95 US and can be purchased online.

Hey, I know you are David K Buck and all that, but isn't this basically
an -advertisement- for a non-povray product that at best (if it were not an
ad) should go on p.o.t.?
And setting follow-ups to divert any, perhaps, negative comments is a
little shady... if that was your intention.

No, you are wrong... from the AUP:
4.We do not allow SPAM on this news server. We will allow you to
post
announcements of your POV-Ray related web page, utilities, or
programs that POV-Ray users may find useful. Advertising of
commercial products or services not related to POV-Ray or the 3D
graphics
industry is not allowed under any circumstances.
Isn't this a "3D graphics industry" related announcement? And to my
understanding, I don't think David has abused here of his historical
fame. That's an extremely paranoid accusation...

I surely think it is. Would of course be really cool if there would be a
POV-Ray animation output* (or is there?).
Thorsten
[to David] If there is none yet, consider it a feature request. After all I
can run Windows apps on a Mac if I have to, and doing physics simulations is
the only application I ever used POV-Ray for seriously myself. So I am
really interested even if it would require a WinDOS app! ;-)

From the website:
"Simberon's first product, ElastoLab, lets you explore
the world of physics in a fun 2D environment."
^^

Even if Bill is wrong I don't think it's very nice of you to call it an
"extremely paranoid accusation". Especially not considering that you
apparently haven't checked the facts.

My fault...:( I assumed from David wording that it was 3d. Wrong
assumption, I know. Then I see it is not very "3D related"... accept my
excuses for not being more rigorous.

Yes, sorry again, but anyhow what I was calling paranoid is not the
doubt about the legality of the post, but the idea a "bad faith" in
David post... Also, my use of the word "paranoid" is not that serious.
All we can have paranoid moments: I myself perhaps had one of these
moments after reading Bill reply...

If you need it, you can use Aero, which is free.

I can't entirely blame him, though. I felt a little spammed myself.
