I have generated several image maps in POV, and would like to view the
corresponding pallete entries.  My current image programs apparently can't
do this.  Anyone know of a simple freeware-type program that will allow one
to see the color pallete?

I believe the only way to see the image as a "palleted image" is to reduce
the color count to as little as 256.

Image Alchemy can create a file of ASCII data in the format red1, green1,
blue1, red2, green2, blue2,... Use the -B2 switch, and you'll end up with
two new files: a .bif file, which has info such as original dimensions, and
a .raw file, which has the actual rgb values of the pixels. Image Alchemy,
in my opinion, is the most useful and versatile graphics converter I've come
across. I highly recommend it, it's worth the $70 bucks or whatever it costs
now. (The shareware version is limited to 640x480 or smaller.)
