John, did you sort it by hand or program?
I can't seem to get Excel to sort the date
by a portion of the date.
And thank you. It is much easier to see who
is next on the birthday list.

I can see Stats nuts are going to have some fun with this list.
Any thing turned up about POVers we would rather know about?

Well, so far ... I wasn't looking. I supose that you
could sort for age vs country. (Most the 40'somthing
live in the USA)
I also keep an ICQ # if people include it in their
posts like some do in their sig blocks. And I also
track hand-modeler, Moray user, Rhino user, ect.
I don't show thoes becouse there are strong loyalties
to each and every one of them and I am not interested
in those sort of discussions.
I suspose that I could even see what OS they post in,
or if mentioned, render in. There was even a discussion
about peoples jobs at one time. But there is just no way
I could justify to myself having all that info in a data
base just so I could look at it. And although people
let slip small things about themselves all the time,
listing it all at once for all to see and make asumptions
about isn't right.
This sort of data mining makes a person feel like a spy of sorts.

By hand. I copy/pasted the body of the message into Notepade, and then
cut and pasted the info around.

The might be a function to extract the Julian day from a date; if so,
you can sort based on the return value of that function.

Mr. art, will you please post the ICQ list or if you feel wrong,
e-mail it to me? I can automate the search (in Perl, say) but I just
don't feel like mesing with 100 MB of text, searching, sorting etc.
Currently the POV-Ray group in my ICQ contacts list includes 32 peeps
(including one MAXer and one Blender user). The more, the better ;)

Well, as data was contributed voluntarily there shouldn't be any problem.
