I'm still using povray 3.02. I have question: what is PPS in povray main
window status bar? Maybe pixels per second? Sometimes it works incorrect,
but in other situations it is very useful.

You got it right it means pixels per second. Don't delay upgrade to 3.1.
It is a better program and the new editor is very nice as well.

I seriously recommend you to get the latest version. At least for the
better text editor. And faster lathes and sors.

  Yes.
Many 3D games use the FPS (frames per second) unit to measure the velocity,
but povray, as a raytracer, has to use the PPS unit :)

Right now I wish mine had ppm (pixels per minute) because it is reading zero.

in fact, it could progressively switch from PPS to SPP, then MPP, then
HPP, and
DPP !!!!

Fabien.

3.1g fixed the problems with PPS, too. Definitely worth the upgrade.
