about "the matrix", we currently face in Europe the marketing process
for that movie with the "what is the matrix ?" phrase.
From the beginning, I thought that we, pov users, had wondered that
since more than 3 years !! Hollywood is late !

I don't understand! Are these supposed to be funny? So you take any film
title, and replace one of the words with POV? Regardless of there being any
connection, or it even sounding similar?
Okay...er....POV-tanic...no...er.....Gone With The POV....

If you like you could cook up a little program that reads a list of movie titles
and puts "POV" for each word or syllable beginning with a P and "media" for the
m-words etc. Coming soon in this theatre: a list of 10.000 POV-movies...

According to my Differential Equations book, a matrix is any rectangular
array of numbers or functions.

Heh-heh, you read my thoughts of how I was going about that. Yes, I
wasn't in a "funny" mood come to think of it, I was only doing a "put
POV-Ray things into movie titles" sort of way. I chuckled a bit at first
sight of Nieminen M.'s proposal and wasn't laughing at the end of Ken
T.'s, so I blame him. Really, I just wasn't thinking about the joke
aspect :) so pretend I was laughing it up as I wrote those (if you can
please).

These I do find funny.
Come to think of it: this looks a bit like the way a lot of pornmovie- titles
are cooked up. Could it be POV serves a similar purpose as porn?
Is POV more satisfying?

May I pleeease collect all these jokes (from all of you) and put them on my
website?
Of course with the names of the authors!
I intent to collect all pov/raytracing jokes there.
At the moment there's already over 250 of the "you know you've been
raytracing to long when..." jokes.
It's at http://welcome.to/rsj in the Miscellaneous section.
Please?

Do a search at deja.com for the thread "A Fistful of Penis" (previously
titled "Games Bored Hicks Play")
(it was x-posted between alt.religion.kibology,
alt.alien.vampire.flonk.flonk.flonk, alt.karl.malden.nose and a few
others)
>Is POV more satisfying?
That *was* a rhetorical question wasn't it?
POV scenes are probably more realistic...

Nar, I'm not American - and though I thought it wasn't exactly funny - it
was vaguely interesting and light-hearted.

Hmmm... we're learning Matrices in Math C now... well actually we've already
learnt them, now we're learning about how to solve simultaneous equations
with orders higher than 4.
OK that was some useless information...
Actually, I must say that POV-Ray has improved my understanding of
mathematics much more and has given me a real head start in the math
subjects I'm doing. The last test we had was all on sine and cosine waves.
One of the Application questions was meant to be quite difficult... but
remembering back to POV-Ray it became obvious how to do it, and I completed
the test in half the time of everyone else... and got the right answers :)
Thank you POV-Team :)

Got mine too if you want, but I don't think anyone liked my feeble
attempt (mental note to myself: think funny next time).
Willing to bet everyone else will gladly give theirs up too, for a
price!

I've put them all there now. That's more than 150 different!
If anyone wants their to be removed for some reason just tell me.
It's at http://welcome.to/rsj in the miscellaneous section, but I guess
everyone is sick of them right now...

Some of the Movie titles could make some interesting renders (not specifically
those above)... anyone else see what I mean?

American humour isn't funny, it's just to give you a break
between the news and the sport.

Well I didn go and see the new SW movie just to look at the light
sabres, all I could say when I came out was "I really liked the
light sabers". Yes I've been raytracing too long.
