Using 64-bit Kubuntu 8.10.

The preview window when rendering a scene is highly transparent if one has
compiz enabled, to the extent that I can see no activity on it at all when
rendering a scene.

This more or less makes POVRAY unusable in these circumstances.

The above thread seems to indicate that this is a pervasive problem if compiz is
enabled.
