problem: selection-box-induced renders don't query for
file save. This isn't a bug, but rather an undesired
feature, as it can lead to rendering of obsolete code.
additional note:
It would be nice if the selection box bounds were truncated
at the image edges, rather than overflowing and leading
to illegal command line options.

On my W95, ATI video, I have often come across a degradation when using
multiple Area Selections in series. I figure its all a part of the down-side
of an up-side feature.
Although it does cause a program crash if the degradation occurs (message
window goes berserk, among other things) once and a second attempt at Area
Selection is made again.
I at first thought this was only the out-of-bounds problem, but I haven't
really done any purposeful duplication yet to send a bug report in. It may
just be my computer(?) since I have only heard of the afore-mentioned things.
