This couple of simple utility can be used to generate geodes with an
arbitrary number of points. geode.exe create a crane of sphere and
cylinders, while geode1.exe will generate a triangle mesh.
The source code (included) is heavily based on the work of V. Bulatov;
I've only modifiled the output (which was in VRML) to generate POV
files. I wasn't able to contact Mr Bulatov, but I think that his work can
be considered under public domain.
The code is compiled with borland free c++ compiler, tested on winnt and
should work on every win32 platform out there; the source is trivial to
compile for other platform (linux....).
