Attached should be the zip version of the hamapatch .lzh file (see
povray.general)

Note that other than changing the format of the archive, I've done
nothing to it, and the original is available at :

http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Ginza/6625/soft10.html

Oh, and it's win9x only for those who don't know...

Bye for now,
     Jamie.

Just a word of caution: this pre-release version has NO undo. Use the
latest english version, there are quite a few things you will NEVER see
if you run the japanese version on a non-japanese Windows computer. He
updates roughly every 2-3 weeks, so a new english version should be
coming along soon:)

Other misc issues:
unlike sPatch, you cannot add new clip shapes
no material settings
lights don't work as expected (in BMRT, at least)
if you want to make a moebius strip, DO NOT attempt to use a twisted
ribbon, use a spline that is to be the edge, and then add crossing
splines.

Looks like "save" isn't working right either, now that's a problem.
I also had something weird happen while rotating a box, it squished
like a 2D object, as though my box were just an image on a plane.

um, Save isn't working as he hasn't yet worked out the hamaPatch native
file format. Just use export(yeah, I know, you can't save *everything*
this way, but it is a pre-release). I'm also compiling a text file to
explain the keyboard shortcuts, I'll post it here when finished:)

that would be a result of having one of the axis constraints
active(X,Y,Z).

Thanks for posting this, Jamie! Seems like a worthy successor to sPatch. I
couldn't figure out how to draw a spline at first - I'd click on the "add
point" tool and nothing would happen. I found out you have to press the
"New" button over on the right side, and then you can draw your splines.

Hope there will be an English help file soon... !

I should warn you that that file is pretty seriously out of date by now.

The author now offers a .zip version from his main site, and the new
version has some new features in it (some useful, some not so useful)

Go to :

http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Ginza/6625/soft10.html

And grab the latest version.

Have fun.

Bye for now,
     Jamie.
