In Hamapatch, how do you go about using the Set Curve Weit (weight?) feature
by inputting the curve numerically (much like being able to rotate by
specifying, for example, 30 degrees) rather than by just using the mouse and
guessing.  I have a symmetric object with curves that need to match on both
sides and am having frustration not being able to input the Curve Weit
numerically.  I looked through the documentation but may have overlooked if
this is possible or not.

I've never used hamapatch, but usually, the easiest thing to do when
handling symmetrical objects is just to model half (say the left side) and
then copy & mirror to get the right side.

I don't know what you mean with Curve weight, but if you wanna rotate a
curve numerically, select the points of the curve and go to Model -> Rotate
and enter the desired values.

If you have one part (the left one in the +x direction, for example),
translate it
so the coincident curve with the other half meets the y axis.
Clone the part you have and flip it in x.
Hide this selection (the flipped part)
Select a portion of the curve that lies in the y axis and delete it using
Model -> delete selected curve.
Go to Select -> Show All
Now select the points of the 2 halves that are coincident in the y axis
and go to Select -> Inverse
Now Select -> Hide selection.
Merge all the coincident points (click on a point and click with right
button)
Now go to Select -> Show All
and there it is.

Still don't know if I've understand correctly your problem.
