When I use clothsim and MegaPov 0.7 to make an animation I get the '*.inc
changed outside Povray'-error. I'm very curious how you cool Povvers solve
this problem. Do you use Povray for DOS instead?

Well, I don't know if I'd call myself a 'cool povver' , but I'll try and
help. :-)
It sounds like you have the *.inc file loaded into the editor. You can
disable Editor>Auto Reload, which should stop the messages, but I personally
don't animate with Cloth Sim in a way that I ever have to load the *.inc
file into the editor.
I posted an example scene and anim the other day.. look for Cloth Simulator
Example Files in povray.binaries.scene-files and the associated anim in
povray.binaries.animation.
If I can be of further help, please don't hesitate to ask.

Hmmm... I rendered your scene, but the only thing moving is the
wind-direction-pointer. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Sometimes I
feel so stupid!

Well, it *should* work. One thing I can think of:
You are running the *.ini file provided, yes? Make sure that the Cloth.exe
executable is where it can be seen.. I placed a copy in my windows
directory.. otherwise when the post_process runs after each frame, it might
just be kicking up an error each time.
Secondly, make sure you run the scene file once with the 'read_file' line
//commented out, and *then* uncomment that line and run the *.ini file. This
will write the *.raw file initially, and then read it in on each consecutive
frame.
Lastly, I'm sure you're not stupid.. what you have described has happened to
me many times. :-)
Let me know how you get on... if it doesn't work for you, I can send you a
*much* simpler version.
