Is there a macro for POV or patch that will place an object into a pov scene
according to an included bitmap?

Bascially an array of objects depending on the value at a pixel. I seem to
remember this in polyray, but cannot locate it in povray or web searches.

Thanks, Shaw

You should try megapov with it's eval_pattern/eval_pigment function:

http://nathan.kopp.com/patched.htm

BTW, this is somehow the wrong group for such questions, better ask things
in povray.newusers or povray.advanced-users
