What a surprise that POV 3.5 suddenly appeared on the horizon. Still, I
have been working feverishly to finish up POVGUI 1.4, which finally
completes the set of POV primitives that I set out to offer in the
wireframe emulator. 1.4, which only runs under MegaPOV, features the
following objects: sphere, cone (rewritten to allow two-vector
creation), cylinder (ditto), box, torus, lathe (expanded to 15 points
max), prism (expanded to 12 points max), height_fields from image
(rewritten, much faster), heigh_field from pattern (ditto),blobs (sphere
and cylinder), superq box (parametric .1 to .9) , superq cylinder
(ditto), and text (box containing "TEXT). Spotlights now feature proxy
objects that show the radius and falloff regions as rays. I am redoing
the demo and docs, and the new archive should be up in a day or so. Then
I get to begin working on the 3.5-comaptible version.
