In version 0.3.0, I'd forgotten to uncomment a line in the code, so that
self-collision detection wasn't performed. This is now fixed. This
version also includes some optimisations of the self-collision algorithm
(my tests showed a 14 times speed increase on a 10x10 cloth but the
difference should be even greater with bigger pieces of cloth).
Note that the self-collision detection is incomplete in its current form:
it only does point-triangle collision detection. It is therefore
possible that the cloth will intersect itself locally. OTOH it shouldn't
be possible for the cloth to go completely through itself and straighten
up on the other side (if somebody sees something like that, it's a bug)

The new version for Windows is no available on my site. It still needs
the Cygwin DLL, because right now there is no automake included in Cygwin
and i therefore could not change the settings that easily.

I've been testing the cloth and I've only gotten one NaN error. I was unable
to reproduce it. I'm rendering a simple animation right now. Merci, Jerome!

Thank you Chris. I would not be able to test this without your compile.

Hi there,
What is the easiest way to get hold of the cygwin1.dll which the Cloth.exe
requires? I tried installing a package from the cygwin site (www.cygwin.com)
but it looked like it was trying to download a whole suite of software. Have
I got to download the whole suite - or have I got this all wrong?
Thanks,
Reuben

try:
ftp://ftp.franken.de/pub/win32/develop/gnuwin32/cygwin/mirrors/cygnus/latest/cygwin/cygwin-1.1.8-2.tar.gz
or the equivalent on any other mirror (it's about 650k).
AFAIK the setup program also allows to just install selected packages, but
i can't say for sure.
