I just completed an update to my utility TGAMosaic. It generates a
scene file which yields a mosaic of an input image. The objects used as
mosaic tesserae are user selectable. The new update allows the mosaic to
be wrapped around a cylinder rather than simply on a flat plane. You can
see an example of the new feature posted in p.b.images, and also on my
web page.

You can find TGAMosaic at
    http://www.coe.uncc.edu/~adwoodfi/

Give it a whirl. The animation switches are fun, just be warned that
with any compressed movie formats the tesserae will alternatingly
disappear from frame to frame if they're too small. Or I just don't know
what I'm doing.

Andy
