I'm happy to announce the birth of softtext V0.9.

When Remco de Korte put his program SoftText on the web, there were some
requests for an ANSI-C version. I've just put one into
povray.binaries.utilities. It is a DOS command line executable, which uses
go32-v2.exe for DPMI (included in the package). The source code is included
also, but it uses the FreeType package (www.freetype.org), which is not
included.

If you need a version for your platform (other than DOS), just get the
FreeType package and an ANSI-C compiler and compile the sources. If you
don't have a compiler, ask someone else to do this for you. If you have made
a version for your platform, please publish it here too after e-mailing me
about it.
