Hi,
I'd like to promote an (freeware) utility for generation of L-Systems
called R(ay)T(raced)Evol(ution).
L-Systems are fractal structures which can be defined by simple rules
and parameters but behave
as plants are growing (in very short terms).
RTEvol is available for several OS under
http://www.rz.tu-ilmenau.de/~juhu/GX/RTEvol/
RTEvol supports:
* definition of L-System tables for parametric, stochastic, and timed
L-Systems
* definition of tropism vector
* mathematical vector and matrix operations
* a 3D graphics turtle support
* freely programmable (POV-) script output via print() function
* definition of your own functions (C-like)
If you need further information about L-systems refer to the following
adresses:
* http://www.xs4all.nl/~ljlapre/ (where another L-System tool is
available)
* http://www.ctpm.uq.edu.au/Programs/IPI/ipiwww.html (some further
links)
* http://www.cpsc.ucalgary.ca/projects/bmv/index.html (excellent
demos)
Have fun
Guenther
