Hello everyone,

This is an updated version of the bordered character objects and character
manipulation macros I posted quite a while ago.

I'll post some sample images in the povray.binaries.images section.

The macros included in this file can be used to create various styles of
bordered characters (based on the Arial font) and arrange them into lines and
paragraphs for easy use within scenes.

Improvements from the original release include minor improvements to a few of
the characters, major improvements to the lower- and upper-case "S," much easier
use, better documentation, improvements to the sample scenes including
demonstration of the new stroke width adjustment feature, and a few new sample
styles.

I hope a few folks will find this useful. It's been a lot of fun working on this
project.

I just looked back at the old letters, and the uppercase 'S' looks a lot 
better in the new version.  I think the lowercase 's' would look best 
about halfway between the old and new versions.

Thanks for the compliment and suggestion! The old "s" couldn't really be
adjusted much but the new one can be adjusted quite a bit. I think maybe in my
quest to fatten up the lower-case "s" I over-did it and made the bottom portion
just a little too wide.

Also, almost immediately after posting the update I thought of a significant
improvement to the micro-justification method. So maybe I'll post one more
update.

Well, just after I posted the update I thought of a must-do addition so here's
version 1.2. It's just an improvement (alternate method) to the
micro-justification routine. This will probably be the last update for a long
time.

Just a note; Sample_Capabilities.pov ran out of memory on my WinXP 
32bit. I should of tried
#local UseRadiosity = no;
first. From a quick look at the character set, the only missing symbol I 
sometimes use is the underscore "_".

I used Windows XP/32 bit as long as I could too. I hated to give it up. I
switched to Windows 7 Professional specifically for access to more RAM for POV
scenes. In some ways it was a downgrade though.

In the radiosity block, reduce the "count" from 600 to something like 60 to 200.
600 isn't really necessary and I should have lowered it for the release. Sorry
about that.

Yes, an underscore symbol would be useful. I also wish I'd added a "bullet"
symbol (just a circle at the same height as the dash) to the character set. Both
of those symbols would be extremely easy to make but time-consuming to add to
the justification table. I may or may not ever get to it. I thought I was
completely done forever with this project but since I've been using the
characters lately to make some new bumper stickers I've thought of a few more
features to add. And I want to make it easier to use still. Maybe there will be
one more release.
