I was puttering around and made an eye generator.  I had fun.  It allows you
to customize more aspects of them than you probably would ever want to.  I
may continue to add parts until you can build an entire character, but may
also run out of steam before I get a chance. :)

Looks good.

I had a similar idea a couple of years ago (build a PovRay character out of
free parameterisable parts that could readily be replaced or re-used
elsewhere).

I opted to try for a life-like human head and published my first attempt
earlier this year at
http://www.telinco.co.uk/c_bartlett/povray/head/index.htm

I'm working towards releasing an improved version soon that is intended to
give better results close up.
I tried your eye generator with the head and it worked fine, just needed to
scale by 6.2  and rotate -x*90.

The principles you've used (setting sensible defaults for all the
parameters) line up well with what I'm attempting.
