Might be a little late of a note:
target 5.0 INCREASES the spacing on that object,
so there are LESS photons hitting it. In this case,
it overlooked.
Additionally, your lightsource is waaaaay back in
the distance, and I assume spacing to affect a
spacing as spread from lightsource, so when they're
travelling across the galaxy, they'll be spread very
thin...
Try using a lower spacing and remove the 5.0 from target.
