Rune,
     See the attached files. Near the start of MScene.pov, there is the
metal tex of yours (I think I just scaled it a bit, because my objects
are a hundred pov units big. Just cut and pasted too, I think). All
files should be in the same directory, and the variable names should
hint as to what they reference to. Feel free to modify anything as you
wish.
     Lights are just three area spotlights, no radiosity or photons
used. Files are #versioned as mp 0.5, so you may have to change them.
My
scene uses no radiosity, anti aliasing was set as follows...

Antialias=On
Sampling_Method=1
Antialias_Threshold=0.01
Antialias_Depth=3

in my ini file, and these are pretty much standard for my high quality
work. For my steel tex, which I was having trouble with, I used method
2
with a depth of 5 or so to remove aliasing... not recommended. Anyway
