I rendered it at 1024*768 in Megapov. I added method 3, changed the samples
to 1,1 and increased the confidence value to 0.99.
It rendered in 8 hrs 30 minutes on a PII 233 that was also running MS access
and two or three other programs at the same time.
Makes a cool wallpaper.

I set the media:
media {
scattering {2, rgb <.4,.3,.5> extinction .2}
samples 5,60
intervals 20
ratio .8
confidence .9
variance 1/1000
}
Started the render last night before I went home (1280x1024 AA 0.01). When
I came in this morning it was only 18% done 15hours later... :( I had to
abort so that I could use my computer to work...)

Owch. Do you have Megapov? (http://nathan.kopp.com/patched.htm)
If so add method 3 and drop the samples to 1,1. Quality is good and MUCH
faster.
