Here is the virus I wrote for POV-Ray.
How to detect this virus:
1) If your scene takes 80 years to parse, it is probably infected.
2) Create a file named aaaaaaaa.pov, run a scene that you suspect that is
infected, and check the aaaaaaaa.pov file to see if it has changed size.
3) Look at the end of your scene file for code you didn't write.

Yes -- and find the bugs in the official version of POV-Ray that keep this
from working correctly :-)
