Thanx, downloading now...and yes, you're the first person to post to
povray.binaries.programming. I actually don't think people have thought
to update their list of newsgroups on the povray server. Oh, well in
time...

You need to read the stuff on guiext.c to figure it out. I found it all in the povray
for Windows sources.
