Hello

I spent the last couple of weeks working on this cute little beast. I wanted to
make it move as well, so I was a challenge to calculate all the movements of
this thing.
It is based on a Julius de Waal design:

https://modelengineeringwebsite.com/planetary_gearbox.html

For the video I used a simpler material, because the metal one took about 4
hours to render, not doable for a video.

The hdr background is from hdri-haven.com.

The video can be found at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xighSNuvki0.

Cheers
Ton.

Cool. Were the fade effects between camera shots done within POV-Ray or
by some other means using frames POV-Ray rendered?

Thanks Bill.
I rendered 50 frames extra, and used those to add the fade.
I then used kdenlive to make and render the movie.

Cheers
