You just need to apply the HDR or EXR image like any other image to a 
big sphere of a sky_sphere.
Then, you can use emission to brighten (>1) or darken (<1) it.
There is no need to change the dynamic range. It's done internally.

Also "VIEWS" (1975) and "MAGNETIC STORM" (1984) art books by him. I'm proud to
say that I still have my original copies, even after *many* moves around the
U.S.

Too bad I've given away all my Yes vinyl records (after digitizing
