Neat. Do you intend to do (part of) the interior of the ship some day?

Thanks Thomas, probably not. I think once I've done the rigging that it will be
time to move on.
The chart house was a lot easier to do than the skylight. Here it is.

Cheers
Ton.

What they call the boobyhatch, the entrance to the below deck saloon, is done.
Here is an overview of the ship, and a close-up.
On to the masts, yards, mainstays, shrouds, gaffs and what have you...

Cheers
Ton.

I just noticed that there is a second compass binnacle there.

Ah! Looking forward to those! The standing rigging was as far as I ever
got after the masts and yards; the running rigging is another kettle of
fish imo....

Correct, one standard compass, and a steering compass.

Thanks for the motivation!

The masts and yards are in. I've also done the spankerboom on the mizzen mast.
It is spring time here, so more outdoor activities, less povray.

Cheers

I have not read the whole thread here, but your Balclutha has developed
very, very nice. Since one of the next obvious steps should be the
rigging, the following old post by Tim McMurdo may help to spare you
some time during your next indoor activities:

Best regards
Michael

I am quite sure this will save time. I was totally unaware of this. It just
makes you wonder how many more treasures are hidden in the vaults.
Thank you very much, Michael, for this link.

Cheers
Ton.

Aargh! This has been mouldering away in my own cargo hold for 17
years!!! Never remembered it. :-]
