OK, that is pretty much as I modelled my VOC ship (Dutch East Indies
Company) many years ago. I also used the profile plans in a similar way.

This one was an earlier version (2005) built in Moray.

Maybe you know DELFTship? I have been using its free version:
https://www.delftship.net/delftship/
It is very comprehensive.

Hi,
I don't understand why you don't export directly using the pov addon ?
I really need the feedback to improve if something is broken?

I am using version 2.79, never went to 3. Too many changes, and I only use the
mesh editor.

Added color to the hull.

Good. Taking shape rapidly. Are you using object patterns for the colors?

No, that didn't work. Especially with the fake gun ports. From the plans I took
the X- and Y-coordinates for the color bands, and with SDL I create closed
meshes, that I intersect with the hull. So the hull is split in 4 different
sections, each with its own color.
Here is the latest update, the hawsepipes for the mooring ropes are added, plus
the cap rail.
Cheers
Ton.
