"block" yes, good advice.  I did just that, Google Images "spreadsheet", and
found pretty much every colour used for highlighting.  :-)
decided to use '<.65,.65,.9,.975>', another blue.

good point.  have not tried yet with alpha-channel, but made a todo note.

while searching the interweb for a small-ish, real-world CSV data file to use in
a current project, I found a wonderful personal website by John Burkardt[*],
stuffed with "goodies".  among them a CSV file listing "lead shot grades".  too
good an opportunity to miss :-).
