After making so many technique tests, I'm trying making some art. This is a
white star in a bowl. When I first saw it I feel the appearance is so pure and I
decided to finish it.

Well done... watch out for the star intersecting the bowl! I think you
should move it a tiny bit to the front.

Aww!
Now add some subsurface scattering to the star, and repost around
Christmas ;)
(Now, where is my cookie jar...)

I've adjusted it for some time. A bit hard. Maybe I will add some melting at the
intersection instead.
:)

I like it just the way it is. Simple, well-modelled, nicely textured and
lighted... Like a minimalist still-life. Not really much more you could do with
this scene.
perhaps a wood grain on the plane to make it look like it's sitting on a table,
but not really necessary.
Re-render it in 16:9 and it would make excellent wallpaper.

A.D.B.

Hello. I like the color gradient of the bowl. It looks like the star is
intersecting the bowl and floating at some other points. not really physically
resting on it.
