Just out of curiosity, are you planning your software to be also able to
read in POV-files? As others have pointed, there already are modeleres
that can create POV-files, but as far as I know, none of them can read
the POV-file back to modeler, even partially.

Bishop3D can read back all of the Pov files that it creates. Except for
included hand written code.
It only has a subset of povray objects, mostly primitives.
Unfortunately the developer has been missing for a couple of years and
there is no further improvements being done. :-(

I have been busy so I haven't been able to post my renderings... here are a
couple more. I was playing around with focal blur.
