Have you considered using version 3.7 yet?

No, i haven't tried 3.7 yet. I have 3.6 installed. What is the advantage?

What's cool about MegaPOV is that it's a stand-alone command-line program... so
i can just execute it and it spits out an image without anything popping up. I
know you can operate POVRay with a command-line, but, the POVRay UI pops up.

They are many. Only a few things that come immediately to mind:
- multithreading
- many corrections
- improved photons
- improved radiosity
- improved and new textures
- improved sub-surface scattering

The real experts could explain better.

A POV-Kirigami?
It's a very good work!
Making a own 3D modeler is a challenging target and (as many have
written) there are plenty of open source alternatives, but I admire your
intent and your results.
I hope to see soon new images,
;-)

These are great renders, nicely lit as well. They are different to most images
you see from POV but it is always good to see a new/different use for it.

This is perhaps the best render of a wedding card I've ever seen. With a
little work it could be turned into a nativity scene.

Very good suggestion, I just added it at the top of the official todo list (some
heavy bug fixing is urgently needed in the rest of the script first.

Great image!

Is your modeller specifically designed to support kirigami creation?
