Thanks!

I might not have saved the *exact* parameters for the ones I showed,
though the fractals themselves are still around. I rendered most last
year, and am just now getting around to showing everyone :)

All that's left is to devise an easy navigation system, and them I can
release it.

Hi again,

There were numerous minor details that needed addressing, but I think everything
is in proper working order now. The navigational/zoom box system is fairly easy
to work with. Also, the aspect ratio is detected automatically, which is great,
but changing it mid-exploration won't go well. It's best to just stick with one
aspect before embarking.

Anyway you can find the file in p.b.scene-files:

Happy 'Tracing :)

Oops, that's not right :S I meant to say you find the minimum between the
Burning Ship and MSet after squaring, and subtract a small value from the
former...

Awsome fractalex!

...here is my first non-sense tweaking. I sort of managed to introduce a
pigment function in the mix.

Wow ... I really like the color scheme.

I was also quite taken with the result.
Sort of "Peter Max meets Persian Rug" ;-)
Nifty work!

Best Regards,
Mike C.

Good one, Jaime! Was the pigment added to the interior coloring function?

Oh yeah, I forgot to remove an extraneous rotation declare from one or two of
the fractal types, so changing "rot" won't do anything...

It's a palette extracted with The Gimp from a pink granite texture
(tough, as Mike said, looks a lot like a rug). Try it with any "natural"
texture and you will get nice palettes for fractals.

Yes, my first impression was also that it looked like a rug... but the
palette is from a pink granite. Now I tried a palette from a Persian
rug, and it gives also very nice results... very fabric-like.

I was just trying some random operations with f_crackle() and the
different parameters of the type 3, but don't remember exactly what it
was. Next time I will save a copy before fiddling more...
