I was thinking that it would be cool to have a library of textures that can be
used with the various proximity patterns out there. I've got a few simple
textures, but, as this render shows, there are some really great ones being
used.

Cheers,
Edouard.

Maybe the wood is not perfect (realistically).
But everything else is great!

I'm really impressed, nice work, good accuracy, bad that PovRay's focal
blur malfunctioning with HDRI.

What do you mean, "focal blur malfunctioning with HDRI"?

The grainy effect in the background on the metallic material...

That's nothing HDRI specific, just perfectly normal POV-Ray focal blur
grainyness.

Despite the "incompleteness" it would be one of the best image of the round.
Someone is worth send an incomplete image imho.

This is a real shame you did not complete the image on time. Even in it's
current state it could have been a winner. Excellent modelling and your textures
are as always top notch.

I appreciate all of the comments. Even if I would have done well with the
voting, I don't want a half-completed image immortalized in the IRTC. It would
have forever haunted me. =)

I will clean up the source some and post it in scene files when I get a chance.

Thanks!
