Yes, in fact, in my curiosity I ended up doing quite a bit of research.
The model itself is based on diagrams I found of a sixteenth-century
caravel, probably not so different from the original Mayflower.

That's really nice. The stylised look is amazing, I have no idea how you did
that.
It looks like a painting, without any corny fake brush strokes.

Absolutely.
You know, Kirk, I'm really in for photorealism as the ultimate goal of
raytracing, but this shot of yours really weakens my argumentation.
