A sample render for an idea I started working on today. The model isn't mine,
it's a (free) mesh from turbosquid
(http://www.turbosquid.com/FullPreview/Index.cfm/ID/330638, I have heavily
smoothed the model though)

Horrid aliasing. Wonderful water, really! It reminds me of Tek's sea... :)

mmmm hey, that big is the bathtub?

appears to have an ocean inside, with waves and everything

that water is cool, but perfect for a landscape, inside a bathtub is unrealistic
.... gives the impression of see an expressionist picture or something like (the
ocean in a bathtub), not a real rendering

Aliasing is horrid and everywhere on that image. Anti-aliasing, as the name
says, avoids aliasing :)

Just how BIG is that bath? Juging by the water's colouration, I'd say about 1 Km
long...

Yes it is quite big!

I know the water is too dark and rough. Was setting for a n ocean type scene
and didn't take the time to modify it.

I rather like the water. If you view raytracing as art, then you can allow
some artistic flexibility. You could always include Neptune in the tub.
