I'm not sure where this came from, I just wanted to make something simple to
test some cloud planes. ( http://f-lohmueller.de/pov_tut/backgrnd/p_sky1.htm )
Maybe it's a phone-booth from Myst?

Very nice! Doesn't need anything more, imo.
In this age of cell phones, it is a relief to see an old fashioned telephone 
at last!  :-)

A nice image indeed.  One can imagine a variety of story elements around this

The sky_sphere was a little dull, so I adjusted the colours a bit, and tried
some
other clouds for the second image.

And finally, som more clouds. The lighting is adjusted also, larger and weaker
area-light for the sun, and more ambient (which is a lot of non-shadow-casting
parallel lights all around).
