Thank you.
I had a chess when I was young that was white & red, maybe it's because of that.
I also think it looks better this way.
Thank you for your comments.
Bye.

Actually I'm working on it, cleaning up the code and inserting some comments so
it will be easier to work with it. It will be an spanish-english version.
I hope I finish it within this week.
Maybe I'll post it to lib.povray.org. Is it working?

Yes it is.

manray_chess.ini: initialization file.
manray_chess.pov: declarations of the pieces and their textures.
scroll_POV_geom.inc: knight's geometry mesh (650 Kb).
tablero.pov: the chessboard and the textures.
manray_chess_env.pov: declarations of cameras, lights and environment.
manray_chess_play.pov: Scene setup with all the pieces, main file.
also needed: arial.ttf: true type font required for the numbers and letters of
the chessboard.

It has no sense to have all this things in one file.

Bye.

I agree with you. As I said before, I saw this chess set recently in an
exhibition, and I found it beautiful. The knight it's a little different from
the original, but I like this more. Glad you like it.

Well the code will be released soon, so...

Glad you like it.
Actually the pieces were easy to model. The knight was more difficult, but not
so much, since I found this tutorial for Blender:
