I took my wife to see Prince Caspian last night and it inspired me to return to
the task of making ancient ruins in POV. I like how it's turning out so far,
so I thought I'd share. All textures (besides the ivy-generator vines) are
procedural.

Nice. Yes after Thomas' ruins, and Bill's weathered mesh macros, ruins
are screaming to be heard for me as well.

Good work indeed. Excellent texture which is especially effective on the
columns (a bit less maybe on the archs and dome). You have given the scene a
nice mood, very much in line with your other work.
Curious to see how you are going further from here.

Thanks! Yeah, I agree that it's not looking quite right on the dome, which has
a somewhat different texture. I think the lambda values are too high. I'm
planning on building a little scene around it--I'm just not sure what, yet.

I'm sure everyone has lost interest by now, but since I'm still tweaking things,
here's another:

At least I won't ever lose interest to beautiful images like that.

Not at all! VERY nice work. There's something about the clean simplicity of
these images, and the spaces, that really appeals to me.
