  Hate to nitpick, but since the exposure settings in your virtual
"camera" here are set so that stars are not visible (which is rather
realistic given the brightness level of the illuminated part of the
Earth), I doubt the city lights would be visible... :P

The stars are visible.

How did you do the atmospheres?  And how long did it take to render?
