That ground realy looks like it's to hot to comfort. It's glowing white hot 
below, even the dark parts must be blisteringly HOT!

Let me gues: an isosurface using a slightly turbulent crackle pattern.

This is an impressive image. Isosurface, isn't it?
One thing perhaps: with such a hot surface, the horizon should shimmer or 
even not be visible at all. That would mean the use of media I think.

I like this image too. Although I think the sun should be lower in the sky
to have that effect on the clouds.

The foreground floor looks like... chocolat

The background floor need some more better texture to enfatize the shattered
terrain.

In other side, good concept, excelent ceil.
