Just use a camera location, point_at and angle that deliver the frame you
want without cropping. With a scene with just one object like this, minimal
distortion comes from the center of the image.
In an ideal world, you plot out the perspective so that it fits where the
viewer will be standing --- then distortions like this dissapear and
everything actually seems three-dimensional. Renaissance masters did it all
the time (though in museums they are hung incorrectly so often; one must
stand on tippy-toes or on one's knees to get the right effect).
Unfortunately, it is impossible to tell the physical dimensions of the
image on someone else's screen. I have a very high resolution screen on
rather small laptop, while someone else might have a 20-inch set at
1024x768 (Ok, probably not, but you get the idea).

Research 'anamorhposis' for more info on this. Basically, it only becomes a
problem when you place a very rigidly shaped, important object in the upper
corner of your frame (even then, I don't think problem is the word for it.
It'sa feature ;))
