Wait a minute, I'm afraid I was not sufficiently clear, my apology for my
bad English:
1 - I say, left part is 100% a photo... a simple photo I shot
2 - and yes there is a HDR outside environment in the right image

Thanks again and have a nice day !

Excellent rendering.
The one thing that tipped it off is the repeat on the hardwood flooring.
If you throw some randomness in it - even just shift the repeat some -
that might eliminate that aspect.

hehe, I was actually more impressed by the right part :)
really, amazing job ! After half an hour staring, I finally noticed the
repeating floor-texture. Give it a non-repeating texture, and I'm sure
I wouldn't have noticed anything synthetic about it ! :)

Nice job!
There's one thing that's still confusing me. There's something next to the
doorway (the one we can see through into the other room) which looks like a
doorknob, complete with dirt smudge, but high up and on the wall, not on
the door. Is this a doorknob???
Hmm, the ladder rails seem a bit smooth to me... I wonder how it would would
look if they had some scratches on them. (It feels a bit odd to comment on
what's already a more realistic image than anything I've done :D )

To me it looks like a light switch that's been placed a little too far
from the wall.
