Scorpion Mech.

I pulled this mech from the free object library on the moray web site
http://www.stmuc.com/moray/
But it was not animatable. So I spent about three weeks adding the inverse
kinetics and exporting to povray to finish up the object building.

The original was posted by Jan Fischer in 1999 (see scorpion.txt). I got it
in 2004 and did some work but have not quite finished. Some of the
materials do not move with the leg, so when the leg moves, it is apparent
that the material is "sliding" over the leg.
Maybe someone who is interested could fix it.

If you look at the bottom of scorpion14.pov you will see that the arms, legs
and torso are animatable. I was planning to add laser shots from the arm
weapons and fire the missiles from the top.

To render on povray (for windows):
1 open the file scorpion14.pov
2 In the commandline box type "library_path=C:testpov" where testpov is the
directory you extracted all the files to.
3 click on RUN

Butch.
Pls let me know if you get to use the robot in any fun scenes.

Does Moray have IK now? I haven't looked at it in a while. But then if you
exported into pov, why bother setting up anything more than forward
kinematics (i.e nested unions)? I am a little confused.
