Thanks to all of the feedback from the group (especially Abe), I have
performed an overhaul of the rigging macros. The attached image shows the
macro applied to the Main Topsail. Nearing completion of the work on the
sail and preparing to move up the mast to the Top Gallant.

As always comments and suggestions are always welcome.

Just curious, what's your connection to the Niagara? I have a friend that
used to work on it a few summers ago. If i remember correctly it was in
Erie, PA.

ah yeah. just searched and found the website, and his name listed in the
crew listing.

nice image you've made.

Yes, it is in Erie Pa. A couple years ago I started making the wooden model
of the ship. I am one of those guys that would squint his eyes & try to
look at the ship as though I were standing on the deck. I realized that it
might be more interesting if I could produce a series of images that
accomplished the same task. I started modelling in POV-Ray using the ship
plans provided with the wooden ship kit. Later I ordered the ship plans
from the Niagara web site & started to do research on other ships and ship
building techniques.

Short answer....no connection at all! :)

Tim

Thank you for your comments. She is still sailing. The Niagara is used to
promote the city of Erie, PA. She regularly tours around the great lakes
visiting many cities in the US and Canada. Following is the website for the
ship.

Thanks for the link
Hey! I didn't see your work on the "modeling" page!
I'm living near Brest in Brittany (western France) where, every 4 years, old
or rebuilt from the smallest to the biggest wood ships meet from all around
the world.

923 KB for just one picture is a bit too much, my friend.
