yes, i probably need to flip the function, but it still produces
3 patters instead of one.

the height of the normals is also not the problem, because making
the function smaller makes the patters more faint but does not move
the 3 patterns closer together.

i dit some testing with making the function a normalised vector and
change the direction of the vector depending on the function, but that
did not do the trick either.

sory for starting a new thread on this, but i just posted a replay to
an older thread using the web interface (witch does say: "(BETA TESTING)"..)

i dit use the "edit message" option after the preview. that probably
resulted
in a new thread.
