Long time no see... ;o\

I've been playing around with mediasky.pov and came up with these two
scenes. I wanted to get rid of the sharp edges on the clouds in
mediasky.pov. After that I started adding continents.

The first one was by accident. I was trying to simulate the continents using
media density functions. It looked fine with the camera viewing from outer
space, but when I took a closer look at the suarface it almost looked like
trees (not enough though).

I fine tuned the media, but it rendered way too slow and I realised I would
probably not be able to trace objects onto the surface. So I tried
isosurfaces and it worked quite well. After that I made it a binary plant
with rings... ;oD

Unfortunately I don't have my own connection at the moment so I can use the
news server but you can copy and paste this link into your browser to see
it
