Hello,

after watching all those fine planets from Rarius, I sensed something was
missing. So I made a sphere with emission media interior and crackle density.
It reminds me of the sun with its granularity.

Could this become some basic setup for Sun renderings? Obviously there will be
no image_map for the sun because of permanent changes of the surface. I don't
know how to get nice protuberances and sun spots are also missing.

Claudius

Hello,

I tried to put a glow in it - and I think it looks quite nice.

You could add a second container and have a swirly media in there, maybe
try one of the spiral patterns, in the outer media, and have it very
transparent so that it doesn't detract from the inner sun which looks
very good so far.
